Jets report card: Effort unable to mask Todd Bowles’ coaching flaws

Grades from the Jets’ 27-13 loss the Patriots on Sunday.

Offense

The Jets moved the ball better than they have in weeks, rolling up 338 yards, but they only reached the end zone once. QB Josh McCown (26-of-45, 276 yards, one TD, one INT, 73.9 rating) fought valiantly but could not will his team to a win. The mystery is why the Jets did not run the ball more. Isaiah Crowell (six rushes, 30 yards) averaged 5 yards per carry but only carried the ball three times in each half. The Jets had 12 designed runs and 50 designed passes.
