Jets reach 2-year, $40M deal with QB Justin Fields, sources say

Free agent quarterback Justin Fields and the New York Jets reached agreement on a two-year, $40 million deal that includes $30 million guaranteed, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Monday.

The Jets are moving on from quarterback Aaron Rodgers, planning to release him when the new league year begins Wednesday. Rodgers has emerged as a quarterback option for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Fields' team in 2024, league sources told Schefter on Monday.
