The fun is about to begin, the legal tampering period for free agents begins on Monday March 15th. Teams can officially sign free agents when the new league year starts on Wednesday March 17th at 4pm. While we wait for that, the Jets announced that they have re-signed one of their own restricted free agents in wide receiver Vyncint Smith.
Smith (6-3, 202), who was set to become a restricted free agent March 17, played in seven games for the Jets last season. He underwent core-muscle surgery in August and was placed on injured reserve to start the season.
