The New York Jets have re-signed restricted free agent CB Marcus Williams, according to Rich Cimini.
The second-round tender will cost the Jets $2.746 million for the 2017 season.
Williams, 25, originally signed on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of North Dakota State back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in Houston before he was waived and later signed to the Jets’ practice squad during the 2014 season.
In 2016, Williams appeared in 13 games for the Jets and recorded 33 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, a forced fumble and six pass defenses.
