McCown, who originally signed with the Jets last March, started 13 games for the Green & White in 2017 and set personal bests with 2,926 yards passing and 18 touchdowns through the air. The 6’4”, 218-pounder completed 67.3% of his passes, which ranked third in the NFL when he was placed on injured reserve in December after breaking his left hand in Week 14 action at Denver. McCown’s career-high five scores on the ground tied for the league high for quarterbacks when his season ended.
“Obviously familiarity on both sides was key and for me, I’ve been on a few teams now and changed scenery a little bit," McCown said on Wednesday.
