What were the Jets thinking on their final possession?
Todd Bowles had no regrets, even in the face of the Jets' 30-23 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Down by seven with no timeouts and 14 seconds left, Bowles opted for a short Ryan Fitzpatrick pass over the middle on first-and-10 at the New England 49. The 12-yarder to Eric Decker put the ball at the Patriots' 37 with time running out.
"We were trying to get a little closer so we could spike it so we could have a chance at a Hail Mary," Bowles said, adding that Fitzpatrick's arm was the main factor in his decision.
