The Jets placed Bilal Powell on I.R. earlier this week and that left them with only two active running backs on the roster (Isaiah Crowell and Trenton Cannon). Today the team announced that De’Angelo Henderson was promoted from the practice squad. Elijah McGuire has been practicing with the team and he is eligible to return from I.R. next week. To make room for Henderson, CB Juston Burris was released.
A sixth-round pick of the Broncos in the 2017 draft, the 5’7”, 208-pound Henderson appeared in five games last season for Denver and had nine touches including one scoring reception.
