Jets promote Freddie Bishop, so Jalin Marshall likely won't play at Browns

on Saturday promoted outside linebacker Freddie Bishop from their practice squad, as they prepare to visit the Browns on Sunday.

The Jets are dealing with injuries at outside linebacker. Rookie Dylan Donahue (elbow) is on season-ending injured reserve, as of this week. And Josh Martin has already been ruled for Jets-Browns with an ankle injury.

Bishop's promotion means wide receiver/returner Jalin Marshall likely will not be activated for Sunday's game. Marshall is eligible to return this week from a four-game suspension (performance-enhancing drugs).

The Jets on Thursday waived tight end Neal Sterling, so they had a roster spot open.
