Jets position battles update: Who impressed in preseason opener vs. Falcons? Who didn't?

The Jets put rookie Trenton Cannon out there first on kickoff return and Andre Roberts first on punt return. And both looked fine on those things. Cannon is more experienced on kickoff return than on punt return. It showed Friday. He almost fumbled one punt and he did fumble another, though he recovered.

ADVANTAGE: Cannon on kickoffs, Roberts on punts

More of the same here, as the Jets worked Jonotthan Harrison as their second-string center. Travis Swanson has a serious battle on his hands, if he is going to make this roster. Plus, Harrison gives the Jets versatility, because he can play guard, which might let the Jets keep nine offensive linemen instead of 10 on the active roster.
