The Jets likely need to win their two remaining games and get some help along the way from the Chiefs, Steelers and Broncos in order to qualify for the NFL playoffs.
The Jets can lose one of their last two games and still make the playoffs but would need either the Chiefs, Steelers or Broncos to lose both of their remaining games.
The Broncos (10-4) are in first place in the AFC West, but if the surging Chiefs (9-5), winners of eight in a row, overtake them and win the division, the Jets (9-5) will get in as a wild-card team if they finish with the same record as the Broncos because they own the tiebreaker over Denver.
