Jets’ playoff breakdown: Steelers’ thriller a huge blow

The Jets do not control their playoff lives thanks to a comeback win by the Steelers on Sunday.

Pittsburgh rallied from a 17-point deficit to beat the Broncos 34-27, putting the Steelers in control of the final AFC wild-card spot ahead of the Jets. The Steelers, Jets and Chiefs are all tied at 9-5, but the Jets lose tiebreakers to the Chiefs (conference record) and Steelers (record vs. common opponents). So even if the Jets win out and go 11-5, they could miss the playoffs if all three teams are tied.
