It was not pretty, but Jets (6-9) will take it. Sam Ficken kicked three field goals and the defense stymied the Steelers offense and their two quarterbacks, hurting the Steelers’ chances of making the playoffs.
Ficken kicked his third field goal with 3:11 left in the game, a 42-yarder that gave the Jets a six-point advantage and then they had to hold their breath as the Steelers (8-7) got the ball two more times with three timeouts.
