"When Buster went down and my name was called, I wasn't really nervous. I was just ready to go out and play," said McDougle, who came in at nickel corner when Skrine left with a head injury late in the second quarter of the Jets' 34-20 victory over Washington. "It just felt good to be back out there. If someone goes down, I'm always ready to get in there."
McDougle, who spent all last season on injured reserve, played in the last four games but didn't get on the field until Washington. He rose to the occasion on his 25 defensive snaps, especially so on the Redskins' fourth-and-goal from the Jets 2 with 5:27 to play.
