FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — The Jets exercised one fifth-year option Monday, but declined to pick up another, according to reports.
According to multiple reports, the Jets declined the $11.9 million option for cornerback Dee Milliner, the ninth overall selection in the 2013 draft, making him a free agent after this season unless a new contract is worked out. Milliner has struggled both on the field and with injuries during his first three seasons. He started 12 games and had three interceptions as a rookie, but has started just two games and has no interceptions since.
