The New York Jets are firing offensive coordinator John Morton after just one season, sources told ESPN's Adam Shefter.
Two potential replacements, according to sources: former Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley and Jets quarterback coach Jeremy Bates, who was well liked and respected in building last year.
Haley was informed Wednesday that the Steelers were not renewing his contract after six seasons in Pittsburgh.
The new coordinator will be the Jets' sixth different offensive coordinator in the past eight years.
