Jets' Parry Nickerson needs to improve this 1 thing while filling in for injured Buster Skrine

Parry Nickerson is on the verge of his first NFL start.

With fellow slot cornerback Buster Skrine currently out injured - he picked up his fourth concussion since 2015 in Week 5 - Nickerson looks like a near-certain lock to make the Jets' starting lineup on Sunday against the Colts at MetLife Stadium.

And the 24-year-old rookie from Tulane thinks that starting role might help him come up with a better performance.

"I feel like me getting in the game earlier will settle me down and let me play my game," Nickerson said.
