The Jets' first-round draft pick last year, a potential budding star at safety, has committed to a healthier diet. But even more importantly, he has improved from a mental standpoint, which could help him in coverage.
"His game from a mental standpoint, his eyes are better," Bowles said. "He focuses on the little things. So from that standpoint, I see him getting better."
Bowles said the next step for Adams is "to focus on the little things and understand what is happening to him as far as not letting his eyes roam a little more. If his eyes stay focused, he will be fine.
