The Jets officially named Adam Gase their head coach Friday.
The two sides reached an agreement on Wednesday for Gase to take over a team desperate to end an eight-year playoff drought and develop Sam Darnold into the top-flight quarterback the organization believes he can become.
The Jets will hold Gase’s introductory press conference on Monday afternoon.
“We talked to a number of excellent candidates and it became clear to me that Adam was the person who will help us establish a winning program and a winning culture,” Jets CEO Christopher Johnson said in a statement.
