The New York Jets took their quarterback quest on the road Wednesday, as team brass traveled to Los Angeles to check out Sam Darnold at the USC pro day.
The Jets' contingent included general manager Mike Maccagnan, coach Todd Bowles, offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates (a former USC assistant) and vice president of personnel Brian Heimerdinger.
Chances are, Darnold won't be available for the Jets, who own the third pick, but you never know. The draft can be unpredictable.
After USC, the Jets' group will head north for the Wyoming pro day on Friday.
