Marcus Gilchrist is the Roger Ebert of the Jets — he watches a lot of film.
The safety, who is in his first season with the Jets, is described as a “film junkie,” by coach Todd Bowles. By Wednesday afternoon, Gilchrist usually knows the tendencies of that week’s opponent and can yell out plays during practice.
“I think that’s key, not only to knowing your role on the defense, but also watching film and trying to get a feel for what the other team does.
