Jets right guard Brian Winters had a down year in 2017 … with good reason.
Winters tore abdomen and abductor muscles in Week 2 against the Raiders, but played through the pain for most of the season. He started 13 games before undergoing surgery in December.
“It was horrendous,” Winters said on a conference call Monday. “I wouldn’t give that to even my worst enemy. It was something that was very tough and hurtful, from the time I woke up to the time I went to bed. Not only when I was doing stuff. Just walking in general was painful.
