FLORHAM PARK -- When the Jets take the field for Saturday's preseason opener against the Tennessee Titans, it seems they'll be without their top two running backs.
Bilal Powell (neck) and Matt Forte (hamstring) were both held out of Thursday's team drills. Neither player has practiced -- in the team period -- this week.
"We'll hold Bilal back," coach Todd Bowles said. "Matt we'll see tomorrow (Friday). We'll definitely hold Bilal out."
Forte tweaked his hamstring on July 31st, and hasn't practiced in team drills since. The severity of his injury isn't known.
