Jets’ Le’Veon Bell, running-game show some signs of life

LANDOVER, Md. — The Jets running game showed some signs of life Sunday.

They rushed for 115 yards, the first time they topped the 100-yard mark this season.

“We didn’t have the penalties that we’ve had before,” coach Adam Gase said after the Jets’ 34-17 win over the Redskins. “We were in a lot more second-and-6 or less. It helps us to where you can run it and if you don’t get it you’re third-and-1, you’re third-and-2, you’re third-and-3 or you get a first down. I think the guys did a good job of staying ahead of the sticks.
