The NFL on Monday announced that Jets wide receiver Jeremy Kerley has been suspended without pay for the next four games, because he violated the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs.
Kerley is the Jets' No. 3 receiver, behind Jermaine Kearse and Robby Anderson.
Kerley, who regularly lines up in the slot, likely will be replaced by one of two rookies -- ArDarius Stewart or Chad Hansen. Stewart has four catches this year, Hansen zero.
"Those guys will get a lot more repetitions," Jets coach Todd Bowles said. "We'll look into some other gymnastics of maybe bringing somebody else up [off the practice squad] or bringing somebody else in [via a free agent signing].
