Jets offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates on Thursday took a not-so-veiled shot at the Patriots while bemoaning headset communication issues the Jets have experienced this season.
In each of the Jets' first three games, at least Bates' headset has failed. Because of that, the Jets have had to burn a timeout they normally wouldn't have used.
"It's been three games, and I'm not making excuses, but three times, our headsets failed us," Bates said when asked about the Jets' apparent pre-snap operation problems. "I'm not throwing anyone under the bus, but the button stopped working.
