Move over Mark Gastineau. The Jets have a new sack master in Jamal Adams.
The safety has six sacks this season, five in the past two games, and now has his sights set on the sack record for defensive backs, which is eight by the Cardinals’ Adrian Wilson in 2005.
“If you’re asking: Am I going to beat the record? Yes, I will beat the record,” Adams said Wednesday. “That’s something that I will get.”
Adams has been an aggressive blitzer the past two weeks. He caused two fumbles by Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones two weeks ago, one resulting in a touchdown for Adams.
