Jets' Jace Amaro out for season with labrum tear

Jets head coach Todd Bowles announced on Tuesday that tight end Jace Amaro is done for the season after suffering a labrum tear.

Bowles said Amaro will be placed on the season-ending injured reserve list. Amaro was injured in the preseason opener against the Detroit Lions on Aug. 13.

Amaro, a second-round draft pick in 2014, caught 38 passes for 345 yards and two touchdowns in 14 games last season.
