Connor Hughes of NJ.com reports that the Jets have expressed interest in free agent defensive back Brandon Carr. Although, they have yet to schedule a visit with Carr.
Hughes’ source said that “they like him.”
Carr, 30, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2008. After four years in Kansas City, Carr signed a five-year, $50.1 million contract that included $25.5 million guaranteed with the Cowboys in 2012.
Carr is currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.
In 2016, Carr appeared in all 16 games for the Cowboys and recorded 61 tackles, one interception and nine pass defenses.
