Sheldon Richardson confided in no one. Not his parents. Not his teammates. Not his coach.
So when news broke Thursday that the Jets defensive end had been arrested in St. Charles County, Missouri, on July 14 for resisting arrest, it surprised everybody. What made it worse was that the story surfaced just hours after Richardson publically apologized for earning a four-game marijuana suspension.
But at Jets training camp Friday in Florham Park, not a single player turned his back. Richardson may have betrayed their trust and made yet another questionable decision, but a number of teammates offered their support to a struggling young man in need of help.
