The last sight Lorenzo Mauldin remembers from the afternoon of Sept 13 is the No. 2 jersey of Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel.
The next thing Mauldin knew, he woke up in a hospital bed. It was Monday morning.
The Jets rookie linebacker had suffered a serious concussion while sacking Manziel and forcing a fumble in the fourth quarter of the Jets' 31-10 win over Cleveland in Week 1. Mauldin got stuck at the bottom of the pile, and while he rose to his feet, he collapsed seconds later and needed to be carried off the field on a spinal board with his head firmly strapped.
