The Jets defense is off to a red-hot start... and it’s been without Sheldon Richardson. Now, the star defensive lineman is coming back to the playing field after being reinstated on Monday after his four-game suspension. Richardson, perhaps the second-best player on the defense after Darrelle Revis, was serving the suspension for a failed marijuana test.
Richardson was scheduled to have a pre-trial hearing Monday over his resisting arrest and traffic violation charges stemming from a July 14 incident in Missouri, but that was expected to be delayed to a date roughly a month from now, according to his attorney, Matthew Fry.
