The Jets aren’t usually known for their receivers.
Sure, they’ve had good ones now and again. But Gang Green historically is all about the defense — something that is still true today.
But one of the keys to the Jets’ 3-1 start has been the play of new receiver Brandon Marshall, who hardly looks like the 31-year-old on the decline some pictured the Jets getting this year.
Marshall has 400 yards through the first four games, on pace for 1,600 on the season, which would surpass the franchise record (1,434 by Don Maynard in 1967). He’s on pace for 120 receptions as well, which would also be a franchise record (93 by Al Toon in 1988).
