Kelechi Osemele’s shoulder is the source of friction with the Jets.
The Jets’ guard told reporters on Friday that his injured shoulder, which has kept him out of the past two games, needs surgery and he’s waiting for the team to OK the procedure.
Sources have told The Post’s Brian Costello, however, that two doctors have cleared Osemele play, having determined the injury existed prior to the season and he is able to play through it.
The Jets want Osemele, who they acquired from the Raiders in the offseason, to practice on Saturday or he’ll face discipline for conduct detrimental to the team.
