Jets Hire Robert Saleh As Next Head Coach

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork)- The New York Jets have agreed to a deal with San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh to become the organization’s next head coach.

The team tweeted Thursday night that they have reached an agreement in principle with Saleh.

Saleh will become the Jets’ 20th head coach in franchise history.

The 41-year-old has spent the last four seasons running the defense for Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers team, helping to lead the team to a Super Bowl appearance in 2020, where they fell just short against the Kansas City Chiefs.
