INDIANAPOLIS -- This just in: The New York Jets won't fold the franchise if Kirk Cousins picks the Rocky Mountains or the Twin Cities for his next home. They want him -- badly -- but they have other options at quarterback. They have a specific strategy, and they want you to know they won't secede from the NFL if he doesn't take their jillions.
"We have a plan -- A, B and C," said coach Todd Bowles, claiming they'd be happy with any of the choices.
Obviously, there's some posturing involved because the organization doesn't want to be perceived as having its green eggs in only one basket, but there is an element of truth to Bowles' statement.
