As much as the build-up grows in the days leading to a crucial game between the Jets and Giants, little changes in the locker room. The teams share a city, but virtually no vitriol. The teams share a stadium, but little familiarity with each other.
In so many ways, the Jets see Sunday as just another important game, but linebacker Calvin Pace said the Giants still stand out from so many other teams.
“I don’t know if it’s a rivalry [because] we play them once every four years and in the preseason, but I will say this, the Giants bring a certain type of physicality [and] that’s been their mindset ever since I’ve been here,” Pace said.
