Jets give Wesley Johnson 2nd-round restricted free agent tender, source confirms

The Jets have given center Wesley Johnson, the presumptive replacement for Nick Mangold, a second-round restricted free agent tender, a league source confirmed.

The move was first reported by NFL Media's Ian Rapoport.

The move all but assures Johnson will remain with the Jets in 2017, after they cut Mangold earlier this offseason.

If another team wants Johnson, it would have to give the Jets a second-round draft pick in return. And there is pretty much zero way that will happen.
