The Jets added two tight ends Sunday while continuing their assault on John Idzik’s draft classes.
A day after releasing second-round tight-end disappointment Jace Amaro, the Jets showed how much they wanted Amaro gone by immediately acquiring a pair of tight ends off waivers in ex-Chief Brian Parker and former Jaguar Braedon Bowman.
Gang Green also claimed ex-Seahawks running back Troymaine Pope and former Patriots cornerback Darryl Roberts off waivers less than 24 hours after getting down to the league’s 53-man roster limit by the deadline.
To make room for the waiver claims, the Jets waived running backs Khiry Robinson (injured) and Dominique Williams, safety Ronald Martin and cornerback Dexter McDougle.
