FLORHAM PARK -- Surprisingly, Jets defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers managed to keep a straight face. The idea? Blasphemy. Most running backs slow down once they near the ripe-old age of 30, true. But the Bills' LeSean McCoy is no average running back.
"Look at the first play in the Philly preseason game," Rodgers said.
The play referenced: McCoy took an inside handoff on a first down. He saw a lane open outside, and cut that way. Cornerback Ronald Darby came up to fill the hole, but McCoy froze him with a stutter-step. He then cut outside, picked up the first down, and ducked out of bounds for a 13-yard gain.
