Jets CEO Christopher Johnson received an early-morning phone call Tuesday from England.
His brother Woody Johnson, the current U.S. ambassador to the United Kingdom, called to talk about the Jets’ 48-17 win over the Lions the night before.
“He called me way too early,” Christopher Johnson said Wednesday. “He was thrilled.”
Christopher is serving as the acting owner while Woody is in England. He clearly is enjoying the job.
“It’s a great gig,” he said.
Before his brother was appointed to the ambassadorship by President Trump, Christopher played a minor role in the organization, advising his brother on things, but he was strictly behind the scenes.
