Jets' Erin Henderson has foot sprain, should play vs. Chiefs, per source

And the Jets have now successfully avoided all three injury scares from Thursday night's victory over the Bills.

After getting good news on both receiver Brandon Marshall and guard James Carpenter, MRI results revealed linebacker Erin Henderson has a sprain in the joint of his foot, a league source told NJ Advance Media. There is no break or ligament damage.

Henderson is listed as day-to-day and is expected to play against the Chiefs on Sept. 25.

In the Jets' base defense, Henderson is their starting middle linebacker next to David Harris.
