Eric Decker is headed to injured reserve.
The Jets wide receiver was placed on IR with a partially torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder, the team announced on Wednesday.
NFL Network reported that Decker is expected to have season-ending surgery to repair the tear. A return could be possible after six weeks if the Jets choose to re-activate him, though surgery probably would rule out such a scenario.
Decker had nine catches for 194 yards and two touchdowns this season. He suffered the injury in Week 2 against the Bills when he fell on the shoulder, then re-aggravated it in a loss to the Chiefs the following week.
