The disappointing Jets career of Dee Milliner ended Saturday.
The Jets are expected to waive Milliner, according to the NFL Network. The No. 9 overall pick in 2013 appeared to be safe as a No. 4 or 5 cornerback with the Jets because his $2.1 million salary is guaranteed for this year. But the Jets apparently would rather pay him to go away.
He was the first pick of former general manager John Idzik. The Jets drafted him, hoping he could fill the hole left by the trade of Darrelle Revis.
Milliner’s career never got off the ground with the Jets.
