Youth.
Developing players.
Progress.
The Jets have a little bit of all three, but not enough of the last two.
What does it all add up to?
A 3-7 record with six remaining games and a third consecutive losing season almost a certainty.
The Jets returned to work Monday after their bye week, which came after their utterly inexcusable and embarrassing 41-10 home loss to the woeful Bills and their fourth-string quarterback.
Their next task is a Sunday home date with the 7-3 Patriots, who also are coming off their bye and a loss in their most recent game.
