Jets defensive lineman Charles Tapper was in a car wreck over the weekend, according to Mike Leslie of ABC affiliate WFAA in Dallas.
Tapper, 25, was driving a car owned by former Cowboys teammate Maliek Collins, according to the report. He is not believed to be seriously injured, but Leslie wrote he is still waiting for full confirmation.
Tapper was a fourth-round pick by the Cowboys in 2016. He played two games with Dallas in 2017 and recorded a sack before being let go in September. The former Oklahoma standout was signed to a reserve/future contract by the Jets last month.
