Another week, another defensive disaster for the Jets, who are coached (though surely not for much longer) by the defensive-minded Todd Bowles.
The inability of Bowles' coaching staff to develop a quarterback or craft even a semi-creative/effective offensive game plan will no doubt be a focal point this offseason, as the Jets seek Bowles' replacement.
But it is becoming clear that Bowles' defense -- because of talent, scheme, or some combination of the two -- is also a mess that needs cleaning. Bowles has not fielded a consistently good defense since 2015, his first season.
