Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis was injured after being attacked over the weekend, according to Pittsburgh television station KDKA.
But another Pittsburgh TV station, WTAE, reported police are considering filing felony charges against Revis, 31, for his role in the altercation. Revis has not been charged with a crime.
The incident happened on Pittsburgh's South Side. Revis' lawyer, unnamed in the KDKA report, told the station Revis was "allegedly assaulted" by five people. The altercation occurred while Revis was in Pittsburgh visiting family and friends, according to the lawyer.
Here is WTAE with more from its conflicting report:
Sources close to the investigation told Pittsburgh's Action News 4 that two men were punched near the corner of South 23rd and East Carson streets.
