FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Revis Island was closed Wednesday. The New York Jets are hoping their star cornerback is back in business by Sunday.
Darrelle Revis sat out practice with a groin injury, and his status for the team’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles is uncertain.
Coach Todd Bowles did not mention Revis’ injury at his news conference after practice Wednesday, and was not asked about the cornerback by reporters. Revis’ status was not known publicly until the team released its injury report after locker room availability.
It was not immediately known if Revis’ groin was simply just sore or if it’s a more serious ailment.
