The Jets officially released cornerback Antonio Cromartie on Monday.
By cutting Cromartie, the Jets clear $8 million in cap space.
The Jets can bring back Cromartie at a lower salary or go with a Marcus Williams-Dee Milliner competition at the cornerback spot opposite Darrelle Revis. Buster Skrine plays mostly in the slot.
