Jets safety Marcus Maye did not practice again Thursday, and it is officially time to worry about his availability for Monday’s game.
Maye has a foot injury that is not related to the ankle surgery he underwent after last season. Maye missed time in training camp and did not play in three of the four preseason games. It was believed that was related to his ankle surgery, but it may have been this foot injury.
Coach Todd Bowles did not have much to say about the nature of the injury, just that Maye is “sore.” Bowles also would not say when it happened.
